“Can’t express how wonderful Sandpiper is! My son has a summer birthday and needed an extra year of preschool to prepare him for the rigors of kindergarten. Sandpiper began a 5 day afternoon program this year, and it was the perfect fit for Louie. Mrs. Lawrence and Mrs. Noland have created a wonderful program. Louie is beginning to sound out words and do simple math. He loves going to school and has become a confident student. I am so grateful for Sandpiper’s 5 day program and it’s teachers. “This is our son’s third year at Sandpiper. We’re so happy that Sandpiper saw the need for a 5 day program. My husband and I knew that because of our son’s summer birthday, that it would be best for him to attend three years of preschool. Attending any program in it’s inaugural year can be scary, but we knew that Lincoln was in great hands with Ms. Lawrence. She knows each child and gives instruction according to their individual needs. After our recent parent/teacher conference, we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Lincoln is thriving in his environment and loves going to school everyday. He loves building and sounding out words and self checking himself, he can read and recognize basic sight words and can solve simple addition and subtraction problems. Not only is Lincoln being prepared academically, he’s also learning about appropriate social skills such as how to listen and pay attention, communicate effectively and handle conflicts. Sandpiper has helped this all come naturally to him and he’s become so confident, has a positive self image of himself and is so proud of his accomplishments. Lincoln will no doubt thrive in kindergarten next year, and we can’t help but be so thankful towards Sandpiper and Ms. Lawrence.”
